O gentle readers, I come before you with head bowed in shame. Although I wrote nearly 1000 words yesterday, they were all legal words. They don't count.

It wasn't until I climbed into bed at 1:00 a.m., having just sent my immortal prose off by email, when I realized that I'd completely forgotten my 250 creative words. I was much too tired at that point to get up and write any more. I was practically cross-eyed with exhaustion, in fact, since I'd walked two miles in hot weather earlier in the day, and read about 100 pages for my reading group today.

I promise to do better.
