I have been out of town attending my law firm's annual Christmas party. No, the party didn't go on for five days, but the firm is located 500 miles away (hooray for the miracle of telecommuting!) so it involved traveling to Orange County, and we took advantage of being in Southern California to get a little R&R in. No words written, but lots of words read, including three and a half back issues of Locus -- I keep falling behind on my review reading! -- and a good-sized chunk of Stephen King's newest book, Full Dark, No Stars.

Observant readers will have noted that this also meant no Sunday Links this week. That's because as soon as we got home yesterday I had to leave the house again for a Rockapella concert -- which was great fun.
