Yes, I've been gone for a while again. I took two vacations, one to Kauai for five days, and one to San Diego for the World Fantasy Convention. Actually, I should call them both "vacationa," because I worked several hours every day I was gone, and I blogged the convention besides. I came home feeling like I needed a vacation! It's nice to be popular, but I need to start exercising some control over this before I find myself with no time to read at all.

I did manage to do some writing while I was gone: 5,937 words. For 35 days, then, I've written an average of 169 words per day -- well below my required minimum. Ah, well. At least the number wasn't zero words per day.

Now I'm back with a far too big pile of books to review, so perhaps the writing will pick up. I certainly intend for it to! So watch this space.
