I wrote 2,555 words of nonlegal writing, all of which were written on June 5. The pile of books I need to review is becoming precipitously tall, so I hope to do some more even-handed writing this week -- but then, I said that last week, didn't I? Still, I'll give it a try.

I finished the third book in Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments trilogy, City of Glass, once again finding Clare's work almost impossible to put down. I also started Johanna Sinisalo's latest book, Birdbrain, which is proving equally compelling, though in a completely different way. I also finished Seanan McGuire's An Artificial Night, which I can't wait to tell you about in detail. The riches! The joy! I could read forever.
