Review of The Dragon's Path by Daniel Abraham

My review of the opening book of Daniel Abraham's new fantasy trilogy, The Dagger and the Coin, is up at Fantasy Literature. The Dragon's Path by Daniel Abraham is a fine book, and I'm looking forward to later books in the series.

Hugo award winners

Terry, I read 4 of the 5 nominees for best novel in the Hugos, and I thought Connie Willis' work was hands down, the best of the lot. Have you read either Blackout or All Clear yet?

Hugo novels

Hi, Regina --

It wasn't the award for the novel I was thinking of so much -- I remember you saying you thought the Willis was really good, and I'm willing to accept your judgment on that (I still haven't read the books). But I'm deeply disappointed that Ted Chiang has now gotten several awards for The Lifestyle of Software Objects. It's as if he gets an award simply for publishing something -- and this something was very far indeed from his best work.
